Workshop Rio Grande do Sul.

Throughout 2025, MegaEdu advanced school connectivity as a core enabler of digital equity and meaningful pedagogical technology use across Brazil’s public education system. Driven by open-data principles and evidencebased policy frameworks, the organization focused on accelerating universal access to high-speed connectivity and delivering adequate digital tools to classrooms nationwide.

A critical breakthrough was MegaEdu’s technical partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Education to build and publish the national Connectivity Dashboard, which offers monthly updates on school-level internet and Wi-Fi infrastructure across the country. By standardizing technical methodologies and enhancing data integrity, the dashboard has elevated education data governance, allowing users to track infrastructure down to individual schools, networks, municipalities, and states while optimizing progress tracking under the National Strategy for Connected Schools (ENEC).

In parallel, MegaEdu developed the Device Calculator, leveraging oficial School Census metrics to guide state and municipal education department leaders in calculating optimal hardware needs, including laptops, tablets, and cloudbooks tailored for classroom learning. The tool’s formal inclusion in the Ministry of Education’s official Device Guide highlights MegaEdu’s technical authority and reinforces a culture of data-driven procurement across public education networks.

Since ENEC’s inception, adequate internet coverage in Brazilian schools has surged from 48% in 2023 to 72% today. The remaining coverage frontier is largely situated in remote, historically underserved territories, requiring tailored infrastructure strategies. To ensure connectivity translates into classroom impact, MegaEdu is now piloting frameworks to measure pedagogical and organizational technology adoption, mapping the structural drivers and friction points across Brazil’s public education systems.

“In Rio Grande do Norte, ensuring that every young person is prepared for the digital world has been a top priority for our administration. With MegaEdu’s support, we equipped all of our schools with internet access and devices. Today, across every school in the state, students are being prepared for the challenges of our time, ensuring no one is left behind. Having MegaEdu as a strategic partner was fundamental: they supported us with diagnosis and planning, worked side by side with us, understood our reality, and helped us secure investments in equitable digital education.”
