Coalition for Full-Time Schools for Teenagers

Students from the Recife municipal education network (PE).

The Coalition for Full-Time Schools for Teenagers was established in 2024 to strengthen the Middle School, uniting organizations, specialists, and public education networks behind the expansion of full-time schools.

In 2025, the Coalition shifted toward execution: embedding sustainable full-time school policies that blend integrated curricula, extended schedules, and specialized educator training. Supported by technical partners, including Reúna Institute, the coalition fosters cross-sector alignment to broaden educational opportunities for adolescents nationwide.

Recife (Pernambuco State)

Since 2014, the Municipal Full-Time School Program has driven the expansion of full-day education in Recife. Between 2022 and 2025, the city established 10 new full-time units serving middle school.

In 2025, Motriz Educação partnered with the Recife Municipal Department of Education to build an expansion roadmap aimed at bringing 70% of student enrollment into full-day schooling by 2028. Through data analysis and local needs assessment, the initiative sets a clear path to create 1,410+ new full-time seats in the Middle School.
