Lemann Brazil Research Fund

Founded in 2014 by the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS) with support from the Lemann Foundation, the Lemann Brazil Research Fund marked its 10th anniversary in 2025 as a premier catalyst for applied research on Brazil, in partnership with Harvard University.

Over the past decade, the fund has backed high-impact research across strategic domains, including education, equity, healthcare, climate, technology, and public governance, bridging world-class international scholarship with Brazil’s most pressing challenges. In 2025, the Lemann Foundation extended its support through a multi-year pledge, guaranteeing funding calls for another five years, driving cross-border research collaboration between leading Brazilian and American institutions.
